PART LEASE/BOARD

Owning their own horse or pony is the ultimate dream for most students when they first take up riding lessons.  To help make that dream come a little closer to reality, we have introduced a Part Lease/Board Program.

Includes 1 weekday group lesson plus either Saturday or Sunday 3 hour session at the barn to include practice ride and horse management skills exercises.
(great for sharing time with horsey friends)

As a part boarder, you will have first option on rides for shows, camp, clinics and trailering to events.

Cost $50.00 pw + GST

This program is offered on a per week basis as, from our experience, the transition from riding as a student once weekly, to the extra commitment of part boarding can be quite challenging for students and parents for varying reasons.  This program gently eases students into the  longer term possibility of leasing/owning their own horse.

FULL LEASE/BOARD

This program requires that bit more commitment from students and parents and is undertaken on a per month basis.

Student has unlimited use of the horse/pony of their choice which must include one weekday group lesson.

Again, if we do not have a suitable horse/pony on the farm, we will undertake to find one

Cost:  $300.00 pcm + GST  

Full Board/Own Horse

We like to work closely with all our boarders to make Pegasus a friendly family barn where everyone is welcome.

We offer pasture board on 30 acres of  pasture, fenced into 7 paddocks.  Most of  our horses/ponies graze in one herd during the summer months, but are divided into smaller groups for the winter to ensure  each animal gets sufficient hay ration.

All horses have access to several large run in shelters, numerous water troughs and heated water bowls in winter.  Box stalls are available if required on a short term basis although we do not encourage long term stalling for any of our animals, unless for veterinary reasons.

Pasture board includes use of all our facilities. 

1. 144’x 72’ indoor sand arena with 5 integral standing stalls
2. Heated tack room/viewing room
3. 60’ round pen with sand base
4. 200’ x 140’ grass jumping field
5. 8 box stalls
6. Hay (seasonal)
7. Concentrate feed (optional extra)

All our horses are on a regular worming program, administered by our staff.  This is invoiced separately.
